The body is anodized inside and outside acc. to the ALODUR method. This anodization is durable and can be used in general industrial applications.
The ALODUR has over conventional hard anodizing the advantage of lower surface roughness of approximately the same strength with improved resistance.
In addition, the housing is coated with PTFE. This coating is stable in acidic, basic or sea area.
The end caps are anodized and additional coated with PTFE.
This coating is produced by a special method, which requires a special surface treatment by brushing and sandblasting, followed by electrochemical oxidation of the aluminum surface.
Good corrosion resistance, high surface hardness. For an increased wear resistance in combination with the normal hard anodizing the inner surface roughness was reduced by 40%, this results in a lower friction in connection with a higher seal longevity.
Subsequently, the housing is coated with PTFE.
